Bring Out Your Dead
From Terry Coxon of Casey Research at Zero Hedge:
The economy doesn’t need anyone to fix it. It’s all that fixing for the last 40 years that is the problem. Unmolested, the economy will right itself. The only thing needed is for the Great Molester, the government, to surrender to a serious regimen of behavior modification and let the economy operate without suffocating interference. Then it would be able to shed its problems – not painlessly but quickly and with a minimum of pain.
The common sense protocol which follows is rather sample, if only there was the political will to achieve it.
From X.inf.capt in the comments:
[I]t hasnt even gotten bad yet, austerity…and there (sic) already protesting…
One of the solutions proposed above is a zero minimum wage. The numbskulls at OccupyWallStreet are demanding a $20 per hour minimum wage. The rest of the demands are equal nonsense. If we’re really gonna get down to fixing our financial problems, these morons must be completely ignored.
Those working at the Chicago Board of Trade already know the protesters are a bunch of pathetic losers and have begun taunting them with a sign in the windows reading “We Are the 1%.”
The bottom line is that whether or not we begin to enact austerity measures now, in time the system will crash and austerity will enforce itself. Perhaps it is wiser to have a little austerity as we go along, rather than a whole lot at once.
And so it is once again, that when the liberals finally leap into action, I begin to see that the conservatives have not been so wrong after all.
If the British neuroscientist from Michael Lewis‘ Vanity Fair article about California is to be believed, the protesters are no more than lizards seeking what they can get without consideration of the socio-economic implications.
