N&R Inadvertently Quotes Me
Today’s N&R, in its sampling of the local blogosphere, quotes this post by Ed Cone. The only problem is the first sentence in italics is mine, as the subsequent link indicates. While hilarious, this creates two obvious problems: it puts words in Ed Cone’s mouth which he never said; and fails to give proper attribution.
I greatly appreciate Ed linking to my post, with the accidental result that I’m quoted by the N&R, when they would never knowingly do such a thing. Perhaps someone in the local blogosphere should give the N&R a primer on the use of italics and hyperlinks.
I am not expecting a correction, nor do I require one.
