Axelskater on Guarino

Yesterday, Roch101 took infamous bigot, racist, misogynist, religious fanatic, hypocrite, coward, dumbass and all-around lunatic, The Evil Dr. Guarino, to task for, among other things, accusing Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins of being AWOL at Pat McCrory‘s gubernatorial campaign kickoff. From Axelskater in the comments:

The Mayor was listed as the SynerG Speaker at least as far back as January 6th, and most likely was confirmed prior to that announcement – which was a while before Mayor McCrory decided to make his announcement. I would say real rudeness would have been skipping out on his original engagement, after invitations had been sent and announcements had been made. Mayor Perkins kept his word and honored his prior engagement.”

Dr Guarino’s answer, instead of simply stating his source was incorrect about why the mayor was not there, was, shall I say, “unyielding”. He even suggested the local Party ask the Mayor to “step down”.

For the record, the local GOP invited Republican Mayor Perkins to this event, and most of us already knew he had a previous commitment. A commitment, by the way which any respectable public official would have honored, as many attendees to that dinner paid to see a program with the Mayor as keynote Speaker.

The Party does not chastise elected officials for imagined slights or jump to conclusions which are unproven simply because they may or may not like someone’s level of “conservatism”. We follow the Plan of Organization, as required to do so by the NCGOP. As a group, we do not take sides on issues or publicly speak out against candidates. We certainy would never publicly chastise a Republican elected official – who was actually honoring a commitment! Any Party official who did so would be removed by the NCGOP, and rightly so. The Guilford County GOP exists to get Republican candidates elected, period. We don’t dictate policy.

I have been called everything from a RINO to a liberal – but I feel like I am just a regular Republican working to get candidates elected.

This is huge. Guarino and C4GC work outside the Guilford GOP and are not privy to the political process. It may in fact be that Guarino was set up by his source to look even more foolish, if that is possible.

As responsible conservatives it is important to recognize that the social retards have called the rest of us RINOs for far too long. Being exceedingly vocal does not make you a party leader. The Guilford GOP has a long tradition of working quietly in the community to assist elected officials and the voters with the issues and ensuring the difficult tasks of democratic governance occur effectively.

The Brainless Zombie Hoard Horde who are constantly appearing before city council, county commissioners and the media are not true conservatives. They are narcissistic sociopaths with a biblical worldview who champion the hatred of intolerance. Fortunately, they are also incredibly dumb, so refuting their contentions is less a matter of diligence and more an opportunity for hilarious entertainment.

Still, we need to take a moment once in awhile and point out those true conservative patriots like Axelskater who serve the community by being responsible and accountable.

This is also a good time to counter those afflicted with Perkins Derangement Syndrome, such as Guarino, his evil minions and the Short Bus Bloggers, who perpetually allege collusion and cronyism without bothering to offer a shred of proof. Axelskater’s comment also makes the important point that Mayor Perkins is a member of the Guilford GOP in good standing, despite the naysayers. Indeed, Leon Nutez and Charles Cherry receive more respect from council when entertaining public speakers than does George Hartzman. In fact, at the last city council, Hartzman was laughed at during and subsequently rebuked by councilmembers following his deranged suggestions and allegations.

As recent evidence of PDS and The Short Bus Bloggers, I present this post, which suggests that since Perkins owns a penthouse at Center Pointe, he should recuse himself from discussion of a downtown PAC. This would be excellent farce if they weren’t actually serious. There is a big difference between laughing with you and laughing at you.

21:00: Without failing to notice the irony, I am grateful to learn the correct usage of “Horde.” I am also told that Perkins’ pad is not a penthouse. Of course, this devastates their argument for recusal.
