N&R Fails to Print Wade’s Lie
Normally, I’d link to a story in the N&R about how Greensboro city councilwoman and District 27 NC Senate candidate, Trudy Wade, lied about opponent Justin Conrad‘s statement causing her to mail an inaccurate attack ad. But I cannot because it is not there. We have the blog entry yesterday from Joe Killian at The Inside Scoop, but that is all, so far. No doubt, when Joe has time, he will write the article and it will be printed. However, even though it accuses Wade of failing to respond to a charge missed by the N&R that Conrad’s email occurred after her inaccurate attack ad, and therefore could not be the excuse that she claimed for the attack ad, the N&R is reluctant to print it because it also makes them look bad. So, for now, the only people who know for certain that Wade lied about the reason for the attack ad are those who read the local blogs.
What we have here is an attempt by the N&R to cover up its mistake in not catching a lie told by Wade to cover up an inaccurate attack ad. If it weren’t so sad, it would be hilarious.
