That Brother From Hawaii

July 14, 2012

Tonight after work, I made the acquaintance of a fellow local blogger. This is not the same as having met a fellow fiddler or, God forbid, banjo player. No, we have in this instance a very confident individual who regularly holds forth on all manner of things, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, he apparently spends a considerable amount of time posting about local politics and such. Lord knows we can use more of that. So, here is the blog for your perusal.

The proprietor has promised to mock this blog at his convenience. I look forward to this as there’s been way too little mockery of me to date, and I could use some balance.

I read two posts at that site.

My first impression is the enormous immaturity which is exemplified by the numerous self-loathing characterizations about the blog and it’s content.

Mockery can have redeeming qualities if done right. I’m skeptical that blog author is up to it. I’ll note it, if I turn out wrong.

    Separated at birth?

In hindsight, I probably should not have linked to his blog. This is a case of a local who has the right to publish whatever he wants, but knows better than to aggregate it.

      RE: aggregation

You seem to imply that you think that a high risk venture for that blogger (‘knows better’) ?

What’s the worst that could happen ?

He doesn’t wish to publicize his political views locally and I don’t blame him.
