Bowing to Terrorism
Over the last few days, I’ve had an opportunity to reflect on the veiled threats published by that lying piece of shit, Billy Jones, and my reaction to them. I consider his actions to be an act of terrorism. I can neither allow myself to bow to such an effort, nor can I turn away from it. I realize some of you may be a bit confused about what has happened. Therefore, allow me to illustrate where I’m coming from.
In January, I posted about buying Naomi Wolf‘s Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries. Subsequently, I posted about the better parts of the book before it trailed off into dated ideas about how to protest effectively. However, during this first post, I offered these comments:
I’m committed to non-violent change, hopeless as that may seem to be. We are a nation of laws. Those laws must be changed. When enough voters insist upon it, changes will happen. Violence is lawlessness and I want no part in it.
The challenge for me is to write things which compel people to act. The first part of that process was to explain the status quo, especially the reasons why right wing conservatives have such a hold on this country and how we go about combating them.
The anti-intellectuals opposed to reason have criticized my use of experts, but my message is much stronger when I stand on the shoulders of our greatest intellects. There are lots of people trying to effect change. All I have to do is point them out and repeat their message.
BTW. since the Civil War, we’ve seen non-violent regime change in India and the respect for civil rights here and in South Africa. Glasnost also led to the fall of the Soviet Union. In fact, there is little reason to believe the mistakes of the nineteenth century need repeating.
As we have found, much of our religious philosophy and political psychology is based on the errors of ignorance committed in the run up to the last World War. We understand the roots of fascism and are prepared to challenge it.
History will record that WWIII was waged and won by the plutocrats without firing a shot. Their challenge now is to make governments into police states so that they may continue to hold what they have taken. Not only that, but they have enslaved us and fully expect that we pay the debts they have created. At present, we are nothing more than chattel. No despot or potentate has more thoroughly subjugated his people than the current agents of corporatism. And it is essential that we recognize those collaborators among us who have not shared in their wealth and power, but yet support them through willful ignorance.
I received this reply from Billy Jones:
Gandhi’s win came not in India but on British soil not because he weaved some sort of magical bloodless regime change but for 3 reasons:
1. A decade of war with Hitler had effectively bankrupted the British Empire and London’s merchant banksters (the 1%) were unwilling to loan the Crown the necessary dough to pay the dough boys.
B. The dough boys were refusing to fight as the British Military was on strike. Striking solders don’t fight unnecessary wars.
3. The British media of the day (Radio and Newspapers) actually resorted to publishing the truth about the atrocities committed by the Empire and the British citizenry demanded it stop.
Gandhi didn’t win the freedom of India. Instead, Gandhi used non violence to protect the financial interests of British Crown and India’s Business Caste– who were his closest friends and financial backers. Gandhi delayed India’s freedom by over a decade. The sun was setting on the British Empire and the Brits gave up.
It struck me as one of the most hateful lies I’d ever read, especially coming from someone recently active with the local Occupy Movement, who had published thousands of words pretending to speak on their behalf. I immediately banned him for it. He found a way to show back up, but I never forgot it.
Combine that with his conspicuous absence from my frequent posts attacking the Christofascists and I began to get the feeling Billy was flying a false flag. So, when he recently began stalking me over my efforts to understand Hartzman, I was not convinced of his motives. Indeed, given the above, plus the fact he hoards weapons and ammo, and lives in an impoverished black neighborhood, rendering him into a bunker mentality, I began to believe Billy was probably associated with the local Klan chapter, which the SPLC confirms to exist.
I expect to die, but I was hoping it wouldn’t be at the hands of a deranged degenerate like Billy. OTOH, if it’s going to come from a cowardly Christofascist, I suppose it doesn’t make much difference. The only point is that whatever happens, I’m not going to take it lying down. This recent event has only strengthened my resolve to confront these ignorant assholes, come what may.
Tonight’s Art Pope’s Stooge post about Republicans and concealed weapons made the whole thing clear. I don’t own any weapons and I’m not going to kill anybody. It is those craven bastards on the far right whom we have to fear. All I’m going to do is call them on their evil shit at every opportunity. It’s on them to act out with violence as they become ever more politically marginalized.
So, the fuckers can do what they will, but I’m not about to back down. In fact, the harder they come at me, the harder I’ll fight back… until I’m dead.
“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India,
history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.
If we want the Arms Act to be repealed,
if we want to learn the use of arms, here is a golden opportunity.
If the middle classes render voluntary help to Government
in the hour of its trial, distrust will disappear,
and the ban on possessing arms will be withdrawn.”
Mohandas K. Gandhi, Autobiography:
The Story of My Experiments with Truth,
Chapter XXVII, Recruiting Campaign, Page 403,
Dover paperback edition, 1983.
This book was originally published by Public Affairs Press in 1948.
Gandhi thought that Hitler’s hatred
could be transformed by Jewish non-violent resistance,
stating they should have willingly gone to their deaths as martyrs.

As a rule, Gandhi was opposed to the concept of partition…
Concerning the partition of India to create Pakistan,
while the Indian National Congress and Gandhi called for the British to quit India,
the Muslim League passed a resolution for them to divide and quit, in 1943.
…On 14 and 15 August 1947 the Indian Independence Act was invoked.
In border areas some 10—12 million people moved from one side to another
and upwards of a half million were killed in communal riots pitting Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs.
…The “plan to carve up British India was never approved of or accepted by Gandhi…
who realised too late that his closest comrades and disciples
were more interested in power than principle,
and that his own vision had long been clouded by the illusion
that the struggle he led for India’s freedom was a nonviolent one.”
Gandhi’s nonviolent action
was not an evasive strategy nor a defensive one.
Gandhi was always on the offensive.
He believed in confronting his opponents aggressively,
in such a way that they could not avoid dealing with him.
Gandhi pointed out three possible responses to oppression and injustice.
One he described as the coward’s way:
to accept the wrong or run away from it.
The second option was to stand and fight by force of arms.
Gandhi said this was better than acceptance or running away.
But the third way, he said, was best of all and required the most courage:
to stand and fight solely by nonviolent means.
Gopal Godse, co-conspirator in Gandhi’s assassination
and brother of the assassin, looks back in anger–and without regret
…Godse believed that the Mahatma, or great soul,
was responsible for the 1947 partition of India and the creation of Pakistan.
…He is still proud of his role in the murder.
TIME: What happened in January 1948?
…TIME: Why did you want to kill Gandhi?
Godse: Gandhi was a hypocrite.
Even after the massacre of the Hindus by the Muslims, he was happy.
The more the massacres of the Hindus, the taller his flag of secularism.
…Godse: I name him the most cruel person for Hindus in India.
…For months he was advising Hindus
that they must never be angry with the Muslims.
…he was encouraging the Muslims to kill Hindus.
…Non-violence is not a principle at all.
He did not follow it.
In politics you cannot follow non-violence.
You cannot follow honesty.
Every moment, you have to give a lie.
Every moment you have to take a bullet in hand and kill someone.
Why was he proved to be a hypocrite?
Because he was in politics with his so-called principles.
…TIME: Did the people condemn you?
Godse: Yes. People in general did. Because they had been kept ignorant.
