The N&R on C4GC and the GCGOP
The Evil Dr. Guarino is either too lazy or too stupid to link to the e-edition of today’s N&R article about C4GC and the GCGOP.
From Joe Killian at the N&R:
A yearlong struggle between the GOP leadership and conservative activists inspired by the tea party has exploded into public insults both political and personal, leaving many to wonder if the rift can be repaired.
County Republican Chairman Al Bouldin said he’s spent the year since his election trying to mend fences with Conservatives for Guilford County, a political action committee affiliated with the tea party. But he said leaders of the group, also called C4GC, have seized every oppor- tunity to undermine party leadership, spin conspiracy theories and insult fellow Republicans who disagree with them on even the smallest of points.
From Killian commenting at Guarino’s:
I spent all of yesterday talking to a wide variety of Republicans — including about an hour of conversation with Jeff Hyde which I kept off the record at his request.
