Davenport’s Throbbing Amygdala
Charles Davenport, Jr., editor of The Greensboro Guardian, posts a rebuttal to an April 25th N&R editorial on Connecticut’s decision to abolish the death penalty. Not only does he wait two weeks to get his panties in a wad, but he fails to provide a link to the N&R editorial he is rebutting. Without the necessary context, we are left to wonder just what the fuck he is talking about.
Davenport trots out a couple of really bad dudes to trump the N&R’s victims in the argument and then treats us to a fable about Wolves and Sheep. He uses grown up words like “moral equivalence” to make his point. However, his lateness and failure to provide a link to the editorial render whatever he may have to say on the subject laughable.
I realize the social retards are afraid, but they also appear to be stupid.
Back to the question at hand, North Carolina has removed several medical examiners for falsifying evidence going back decades. Until the state can provide incontrovertible evidence of guilt, we have no business taking the chance of putting innocent people to death. Of course, that is a compassionate argument based on intelligence: a characteristic Davenport appears to lack.
